Join us for a Yoga and Walking Weekend at Glaramara, Borrowdale Valley, Lake District
Venue
Set in the heart of the Lake District, Glaramara is surrounded by some of the finest mountains and lakes in the country. With majestic mountains and Lakeland fells as well as tranquil lakes, waterfalls and peaceful woodland, the area provides captivating scenery for all levels of walkers.
Glaramara, is a purpose-built walking centre, renowned for its excellent food, which has been extensively refurbished in recent years. All bedrooms are now ensuite and many have lovely views of the surrounding valleys. The spacious lounge has lovely views and a cosy log fire for colder evenings.
Yoga
We will offer four yoga sessions over the two-night stay and six for the three-night stay. There is no requirement to attend all sessions, you can do as many or as few as you wish.
There is the option to take our yoga classes outside at this venue if weather permits. All classes will be suitable for all abilities, with equipment and props provided.
Walking at Glaramara
Glaramara offers some truly wonderful high-level and lower walk options, which are all accessible walks from the front door of the centre.

Friday

9.30am meet for walk
We will then do a local walk from the house. The walks take in many of the highlights of the area such as the stunning Borrowdale Valley, the lovely Lakeland villages of Rosthwaite, Stonethwaite, Grange and Watendlath all of which have friendly wayside inns and cafes and local beauty spots such as the majestic Lady of the Lakes, Derwentwater. Sometimes we may drive over the pass to walk and explore, the beautiful Buttermere, Crummock Water and Loweswater. We plan the walks to be flexible and take account of the group’s various abilities. We have opt-out points where people can curtail the walk, enabling you to do as much or as little as you wish.
