About Us
Yoga Wanders breaks are delivered by Gideon Wheater and Carol Downing.
Gideon has spent his whole life walking the hills. With a background in conservation and the environment, Gideon has a passion for the outdoors that he loves to share. As co-owner of specialist walking holiday tour operator, WalkWise, Gideon has organised walking, hiking, rambling and ambling breaks throughout the UK and abroad since 1998.
Carol is a Yoga Alliance qualified teacher who also loves the outdoors. Carol’s approach to yoga is ever evolving and exploratory, encompassing many styles, from Ashtanga to somatic movement. Also a keen walker, cyclist and fell runner, Carol believes that yoga is a way to enhance the benefits of sports and cultivate holistic fitness.
