From £429 per person for a four day, three night break

Venue

The Peveril of the Peak, is named after Sir Walter Scott’s novel, and is located in the Peak District countryside, close to the village of Thorpe. Backed by the cone of Thorpe Cloud, which guards the entrance to Dovedale Gorge and the famous stepping stones at the entrance to the gorge, it’s an ideal base to explore the Derbyshire countryside.

The house is surrounded by extensive grounds and has a gorgeous terrace that enjoys delightful views of the surrounding countryside.

All the ensuite bedrooms have an individual layout and character with TV with digital radio, hair dryer and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. There is Wi-Fi in all public areas and a proper boot and drying room to cater for any type of weather.

Yoga

We will offer six yoga sessions over the three night break. There is no requirement to attend all sessions, you can do as many or as few as you wish.  The Friday night welcome practice will be a chance to unwind and settle into the beautiful surroundings. The early morning practice on Saturday will wake up our bodies and prepare us for the day of walking ahead.

On Saturday evening we will have a chance to stretch those tired muscles and relax.

The Sunday morning practice will be a gentle session designed to ease us into another day.  On Sunday evening we will have another opportunity to stretch those tired limbs and the final Monday morning practice will be designed to leave you calm and chilled.

There is the option to take our yoga classes outside at this venue if weather permits.

All classes will be suitable for all abilities, with equipment and props provided.

Walking

There will be plenty of choice for walks as we have access to the wild Dark Peak to the north where Curlews cry across desolate peat bogs, and the more pastoral White Peak to the south west.

This is superb walking country and over the weekend we will experience experience two of the most pleasing things the Peak District has to offer; Dales and Rivers. The enchanting dales of Dovedale and Mill Dale are sure to feature as well as the beautiful River Dove.  No visit here would be complete without visiting the quaint hamlet Hartington and the serenely beautiful Wolfscotedale.
