From £429 per person for a four day, three night break
Longmynd house is set amongst 10 acres of private woodland, tucked away on a wooded hillside above Church Stretton, on the border of England and Wales in Shropshire. The surrounding hills are rich in variety with the dramatic Long Mynd and Stiperstones on the doorstep. The area is known ‘Little Switzerland’ due to the dramatic hills on both sides of the valley
Located just 10 minutes’ walk from the town with a great selection of shops, cafes and pubs, the house retains an air of bygone charm. It offers a range of facilities that will make your stay extra special, including a superb heated outdoor pool. All the bedrooms are en-suite and many have stunning views.
We will offer six yoga sessions for those on the three night break and four for the two night stay. There is no requirement to attend all sessions, you can do as many or as few as you wish. The Friday night welcome practice will be a chance to unwind and settle into the beautiful surroundings. The early morning practice on Saturday will wake up our bodies and prepare us for the day of walking ahead.
On Saturday evening we will have a chance to stretch those tired muscles and relax.
The Sunday morning practice will be a gentle session designed to ease us into another day of walking or prepare you for your journey home. On Sunday evening we will have another opportunity to stretch those tired limbs and the final Monday morning practice will be designed to leave you calm and chilled.
There is the option to take our yoga classes outside at this venue if weather permits.
All classes will be suitable for all abilities, with equipment and props provided.
This ideal walking country with its shapely hills, inviting valleys and enchanting villages all combine to produce an ever-changing and attractive landscape.
There is plenty of choice of walks and something for everyone. A local exploration of the steep sided valleys of the Long Mynd, with a climb to the highest point, Pole Bank, or a walk to take in the excellent views from the heights of Caer Caradoc and Bodbury Hill.
To the east lies the gentler terrain of Wenlock Edge, an amazingly rare and special wooded limestone escarpment, which offers dramatic views, historic quarries and limekilns, as well as rare lime-loving wildflowers. Whilst out to the west, there is a remarkable line of dark quartzite tors better known as the famous Stiperstones and all the tops reward your efforts with fantastic views across Shropshire and the Welsh borders.
